Terms of Use
Effective July 31, 2026
These terms apply to this website and to Belle Ops, an internal operations application owned and operated by Bergland & Gao, LLC ("the Firm").
1. This website
Content on this website is general information only and does not constitute tax, legal or financial advice for any specific situation. The scope of any engagement is governed by the signed engagement letter. The Firm provides accounting, tax and compliance services led by a Florida-licensed CPA; it does not provide legal or immigration services.
2. Belle Ops is a private, internal application
Belle Ops is built for the Firm's own use. It is not distributed, sold, sublicensed or made available to the public, and it is not listed on any application marketplace. Access is limited to authorized personnel of the Firm.
3. License
Subject to these terms, the Firm grants its authorized personnel a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application solely to perform accounting, bookkeeping and tax services for the Firm's clients. All intellectual property in the application remains with the Firm.
4. Permitted use
- Organizing, naming and archiving client source documents
- Extracting data from source documents and preparing entries for professional review
- Reading data from connected QuickBooks Online companies with the company's authorization
- Writing accounting entries to QuickBooks Online only after explicit approval by a licensed professional of the Firm
5. Prohibited use
- Any use that violates applicable law or the Intuit Developer Terms of Service
- Accessing a QuickBooks Online company that has not authorized the connection
- Using one client's data for the benefit of another client
- Bypassing the application's approval and audit controls
- Sharing credentials or granting access to unauthorized persons
6. Human review and professional responsibility
The application assists with preparation only. All accounting judgments, filings, payments and client deliverables are reviewed and approved by a licensed CPA; automated output is never treated as final work product. Nothing produced by the application constitutes accounting, tax or legal advice on its own.
7. Third-party services
The application connects to Intuit QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Lark and the Anthropic API. Use of those services is governed by their own terms. The Firm is responsible for its own configuration and use of those services.
8. No warranty
The application is provided "as is" for internal use, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Firm shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the application. Nothing in these terms limits the Firm's professional obligations to its clients under its engagement letters or applicable professional standards.
10. Changes and termination
The Firm may modify or discontinue the application at any time. Access is revoked immediately upon termination of employment or engagement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
